8:00 am on a Wednesday. As I rambled about the house getting ready for the day, my photos kept flashing on the TV screen, default screensaver. Absent mindedly, I paused for a bit and looked at the TV, the screen paused too, on this beautiful shot captured in the Dutch countryside and then flashed away to something else.
I had forgotten how picturesque the scene was, and forgotten that I had it captured here all this time. I had forgotten about how exhilarating it was to stand atop these windmills, experience the blades run past by and feel the wind sweep along the skin into my bones. This picture was taken in a tourist friendly countyside area in Netherlands, called Zaanse Schans, famous for its windmill tours. Looking at these enormous structures now, I almost feel as if I’m standing there once again, with all their blades rushing by in synchronicity, with each other and with the wind. I’m suddenly reminded of a Nikola Tesla quote. He said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” These winds blowing at 100 kmph are crushing spices and melting chocolate and producing electricity.
Wind to Weight. Wind to Heat. Wind to Electricity.
Energy changing hands.
I’m amazed at the ingenuity of mankind. Probably this is the major difference separating us from the animals, our ability to think and comprehend, and invent tools that utilize principles of nature and put them to the simplest of uses making our lives easier and richer.
At the same time, I wonder, where is this curiosity when it comes to our own selves.
Find the secrets of the universe by studying energy, frequency and vibration.
