I love receiving these booklets from AMI (this institution was founded by Dr. Maria Montessori herself). This one is filled with 11 short but extremely insightful articles.
This is one of my reflections after reading the articles (for the nth time): Young children are often mirrors of us. If you are stressed, tense or are taking more of a dictator type role in your Montessori environment, you will have different results. Think about your role and how you are presenting yourself and the educational philosophies to your child. Understanding and patience is a key element of a Montessori home. Most of us parents do not have formal Montessori training and can get frustrated when activities are not done as described in books and articles or as we see them in Social Media. Understand it takes time to help children learn proper Montessori techniques and it takes patience to let children learn in their OWN TIME. We're not creating a classroom at home, but we do encourage involving Kara in our daily lives and let her show us what her calling is. Ang lalim ba ng post ko? Just imagine if the most influential people in history didn't pursue their passion and potential because they were made to do something else, we wouldn't have the things we enjoy now like electricity, medicine, etc. #worldbookday #momlife #workingmomph #momtips #smartparentingph #montessorihome #positiveparenting #mommybloggersph #lifewithatoddler #momtessoriph #montessorilife #reading #bookworm #booklover #montessoritoys #montessorichild #mommyblogger #toddleractivity #mompreneurph #montessoriathome #montessoritoddler #theprojectmommyger #montessoriph
