"There are things in this universe that we cannot control, and then there are the things we can. . . . Let fate, coincidence, and accident conspire; human beings must act on reason."
QOTD: Do u read Classics? Do you find the interesting enough?
I do, sometimes. Although I take forever to finish this books, they seem to be extremely interesting reads. Taking their own time in this fast-paced world.
There is something I wanted to talk about, today. And that is the debate between choosing review copies and reading books from our TBR. I am a blogger, so review copies are supposed to boost my blog and give me the much needed promotion. At least that's what I thought. But then I have come across a lot of people who only know the art of taking. We are just a means to getting a good rating, or a consistent review. Which, according to me isn't correct or ethical.
Now this is probably one of the reasons, I have decided to focus less on review copies.
I am always inclined towards exploring, hence I will continue reviewing books. But I am not compromising with my TBR.
I am so glad that I have some wonderful people on my side, who feel the same. Thank you @theliquidsunset @thebookishtales @thecommonshelf for speaking it out loud. Reading is not supposed to be stressful. It's a learning process as well as a relaxation process, none of which is possible if we are living under a pile of review copies and deadlines. Hence, the balance.
