Save your dates guys! We have Rob Hayden coming all the way from Brussels!! This weekend workshop focuses on the body as a ‘total instrument’, capable of what can be called the 'total act'. Work on physical actions, movement as a theatrical act, and vocal work are the main elements we will deal with.
We begin with a series of physical exercises that enable one to establish a strong and vital body-breath connection. These exercises are also designed to gradually unlock the flow of living impulses within the body. By doing so, we allow our attention, intention and aware- ness to flow more freely.
We will then work compositionally combining movement, spatial and rhythmic awareness through improvised scores. We will also focus on the relationships between precision and organicity, awareness of space and one’s ability to react to its constituent elements, improvi- sation within a structure as well as dramaturgical elaboration.
This workshop is open to all actors, dancers, and performers.
