If you are follow this case. If you are a follow this case (Abbott vs Perez). THIS IS IMPORTANT! Let me insert how dirty they’re playing. After the hurricane hit, they tried to get the case withdrawn, but the courts held on and issued a stay. The US Supreme Court has decided to hear a case against the discrimination in this gerrymandering case. What happens here sets the precedence for what happens in the districts to which we all live going forward. This becomes law. Get to know this case, especially if you are Latino. Understand gerrymandering. Register to vote and make sure you know how your district is determined. These people aren’t here to play Checker; they’re playing the highest game of Chess. #voterrights #latino #latinovotesmatter #rockthevote #personofcolor #ussupremecourt #abbottvsperez #texas #discrimination #gerrymandering #hurricaneharvey

Too much injustice, too much discrimination, too much targeting, too much hatred, too much bullying - it is just too much. But unfortunately it is not only a USA problem, it's a worldwide issue because people are being pinpointed for just being themselves & even treated worst by some of those that swore to protect them. I just hope that one day we can walk anywhere without being looked upon and seen as a threat. One can only hope. 🙏🏽 #usa #sadworld #ihope #problems #hatecrime #protection #painful #hopeisreal #nopeace #livewithoutfear #socialjustice #worldwide #equaljustice #istillbelieve #discrimination #issues #nojusticenopeace #noteasy #justice

The Philly jawns want Justice. “The city of Philadelphia received an early win in its case against banking giant Wells Fargo this week when a federal judge ruled that the city’s lawsuit against the bank can go forward, Reuters reports. Philly alleges that Wells Fargo practiced predatory lending when giving loans to black and Latinx customers, and that the bank gave safer, cheaper loans to white borrowers. The city also says that Wells Fargo offered black and Latinx people high-cost, high-risk loans even when their credit qualified them for safer options. According to Philadelphia, this practice began in 2004 and has caused many of its citizens to unnecessarily go into foreclosure; the city argues that this has had a negative impact on the city’s economy and housing sector. Philly found that black Wells Fargo loan holders were 4.1 times more likely to have their loans go into foreclosure than white borrowers. Latinx borrowers were 2.6 times more likely to go into foreclosure.” #phillyrealestate #wellsfargo #imaverick #discrimination #realestate #bigbank

An open letter to Austin, Tx: (chronicles of my love/hate relationship) Please read if your interested! Its LONG👾 I came here to Austin over 4 years ago in search of something new. I love the beauty of Austin’s nature and their music scene. The art scene is great but ever since I’ve started to push my art further into the community I have met tons of resistance. After months of applying to countless markets its always the same thing said to me, Im not a good fit and I wont work out for said market/fest/event. I was confused and started to get the idea that maybe people aren’t as open minded as I thought here. Then the other day I was finally explicitly discriminated against by the They explained what Im doing is because I’m not ethnically connected to henna. That definitely hurts me because its not something I can change. Culture is something that can be adopted & learned though. And I would never pretend Im something that Im not. The real kicker is that legitimate people like me are out of work due to this mindset. Appropriation only happens when a culture is mocked or exploited. Unfortunately for me I was not the right (insert ethnicity here) to be applying henna in their minds. They want a more diverse selection of vendors (which is fine) because apparently people complain to them about that. Guess what though? Austin’s not all that diverse, its actually way less diverse than Miami where I grew up. has pushed out POC, those same gentrifiers are the ones complaining about lack of diversity and on panels that decide if you are ethnic looking enough to be part of a local farmers market. I would happily support a POC applying safe natural henna if they had applied and beat me out based on their skill level and professionalism. I’d be happy and move on. But these well meaning social justice warriors would rather no cultural practice at all if the person doing it is not “ethnic looking” to uphold political correctness. Its all bullshit and Im speaking up because this mindset is dangerous, divisive and exclusive. I won’t be silent even though its an unpopular/misunderstood issue.
