    WHY YOU SHOULDN'T JUST COUNT CALORIES! Here is the thing, calories shouldn't be a factor when determining if a product is healthy or not. 🍩 Lets take this donut for example which is between 220-230 calories. 🥑 Then lets take this avocado which is 223 calories. Both the donut 🍩 and the avocado 🥑 are high in fat and have close to the same caloric number 🤔 BUT are they really the same? 🍩=🥑?? The fat in this donut 🍩 is from refined, toxic vegetable oils HOWEVER the avocado has natural monounsaturated and saturated fats which are necessary in a healthy diet and SHOULD NOT be associated with weight gain. The avocado 🥑 is a natural whole food.....the donut is made up of MOSTLY sugar. Even though their calorie numbers are close in range, the nutritional value in the avocado is much greater than the donut.     Weight loss and transformations do not come easy, there are no quick fixes, diet pills or detox teas that can get you the result, I know because I’m the girl in both of these pictures. . Seeing advertisements for detox teas and diet pills around today, especially ones being endorsed by today’s ‘high end’ celebs (🙄🙄) really does touch a nerve with me. . We are stuck in a world that has social media showing perfectly toned, tanned and sculpted bodies which are more often than not filtered and edited, resulting in young girls, women and men feeling embarrassed about the skin they live in. . Scrolling through the same page to then see advertisements for ‘quick fixes’ and diet pills which promise results in a week for people...having educated my self I know these results are impossible and highly unhealthy. However, so many people fall for them. . The bottom line is, eat healthy, get moving, be patient and in the end, your body will reward you.     Solid truth from an old buddy I respect a hell of a lot... @prime_performance_gym with @get_repost ・・・ It amazes me that this is still a thing, but then I suppose I choose not to mix or read in circles with people who'd fall for this crap. A conversion yesterday reminded me of the fact. ALL, yes ALL, every single one, without exception, weight loss 'diets' work by a person consuming less calories than they need. That's it, full stop! Anyone who claims otherwise is full of shit. There is no magic to keto, paleo, fasting, they ALL work via the same mechanism. And if you are dropping calories, then you had better be weight training to tell your body it needs to hold on to the muscle, or it will happily shed that. Some event fast approaching you want to look your best for so you starve yourself a couple of weeks before then a few weeks later you feel bigger than before? 😪Rapid weight loss can slow your metabolism, leading to future weight gain, and deprive your body of essential nutrients. What's more, crash diets can weaken your immune system and increase your risk of dehydration & may cause other problems to your body!!!!!! Making drastic changes to your normal diet can be bad news for your body and mind. You will lose weight, but it won’t all be from unwanted body fat. You will also lose precious muscle tissue. Lemme tell you why you should just walk away from them right now... 1️⃣ You won’t lose 10 pounds of fat in a week. You’ll lose 10 pounds of water and glycogen stores.     Work for a body you can be proud of! ⠀ It kills me when I hear people falling for fad diets where you are depriving yourself so much you're told to decrease physical activity. I promise you there is a HEALTHY way to look and FEEL your best. Yes it requires time and effort but the end result is worth the hustle!! ⠀ Quick fixes aren't sustainable and there's nothing worse than depriving yourself just to fail when reality hits and start back at square one.     My loves, please stop waiting to be “slip-up” free before you love yourself. Too often I hear my clients say: ”once I overcome this habit I'll accept myself”.....”after I lose this 10lbs I'll feel more confident.” Don’t burden yourself with trying to be perfect. What matters is where your heart is. For instance, if you’re reading this right now, or looking for motivation, you’re heart is in the right place. Start accepting yourself right where you are and build off of that. When your heart and intentions are the right place God will honor your efforts. You aren’t expected to perform perfectly all the time. 💓
