When you truly love someone, you can't hold in that love. It just comes flowing out! You speak with love and you do things out of the love you have for that person. At least that's the way love should be, but sadly sometimes our love of self can get in the way of loving someone else with our whole heart... Loving others more than ourselves shouldn't be something we only do on Valentines Day. Let's love each other the way God loves us everyday ❀️

After I shared about connecting on Instagram with a relative of the family who built our farm in the 1800s, many of you wanted to hear all about meeting with Maggie and her family in person. It's funny... it kinda felt like coming home. . Perhaps it was because we finally found someone who was as invested and in love with our farm as we are. Perhaps it was because they are so genuinely sweet... all I know is that I have never walked into a stranger's house and felt more at home. . I kid you not, we stayed for 4 hours! We looked at pictures, watched home movies, and swapped stories, while our little girls played with Maggie's teenage daughters. We learned so much about the big beautiful family that grew from a little farm on the Kansas prairie. . There is a lot to tell, so I will have to write a few blog posts sharing all the history we uncovered. I thought I would at least share this remarkable link we found with the farm's past that made me smile. . This is a picture of Maggie's mom Diana and her big sister Vicki enjoying farm life. Don't they have a striking resemblance to our girls? It's another God wink moment…
