Goals 👏🏽👌🙏🏽 (normalcy - healthy weight) 5 years ago ❤
Out of all the fitness goals, fat loss is one of the most controversial. Why should women lose fat? Should that be their sole purpose? Why can't we embrace the fact we grow and change?
For me, this particular picture shows me who I am at a normal, healthy weight. I did not have an eating disorder. I did not restrict myself. I did not work out strenuously. It was five years ago, but I contined this pattern until my hormones were challenged by pregnancy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fat loss is a goal for me due to hormone imbalance, and the effects that has had for me; including excessive weight gain, sugar addiction, and messed up sleep cycles. I became addicted to sugar and highly refined carbohydrates that I never used to eat. This was due to addiction and underlying emotional and mental stressors in my life. For example, since the age of 15 I have battled with severe depression. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The benefits of weight loss, for me, are huge. I literally injure myself more and develop health issues from being bigger. I can buy the most expensive tights, and sports bras, lather myself in vaseline, and I'll still end up bleeding after my 6k runs from chafing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me its about comfort. I FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WHEN I AM SMALLER. Not necessarily more confident, or like life becomes more meaningful. Its the comfort and health benefits of being smaller that I enjoy.
So if you're like me, and you struggle with weight loss, know it can be done, it will be done, and improving ALL areas of your whole life are key to success ❤❤ #youngerme #weightlossjourney #hardwork #kiwigirl #costume #weightloss #getresults #gymmotivation #selfie #throwbackthursday #brunette #workoutmotivation #girlswholift #momswholift #goals #girlswhosquat #fitmom #runnersofinstagram #tbt #throwbackpic
