    Update: 7 months into the bulk and almost everything is going to plan. Very happy with my progress with the exception of a little too much fat. Got to the 13 stone mark but Josh (my pt) has decided to cut my calories from 3700 to 2900 just to get rid of a couple pounds of fat. Im hitting pb’s on every set of every muscle group every two weeks and im now benching 97.5kg with my goal of 100kg only a couple of sessions away. I’ve also noticed since doing legs twice a week that they are getting alot bigger and taking some good shape!! Measurements on legs, chest and arms are up with macros staying at 45c30f25p.     Flushing out toxins, feeling refreshed and renewed and shedding some extra pounds along the way all sounds very appealing doesn’t it? So it’s no wonder more and more people are trying juice cleanses. But is there any truth in them? Let’s break it down: - 👉🏻 Detoxification is a basic function that already happens in your body on a daily basis. During this process, toxins are naturally eliminated through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. It’s simple, the better you eat, the easier and more efficiently your body can do this job so there is no need to punish yourself with a juice only diet that lasts a week. Just eat the good stuff 😊. - 🍏Juice fasts can leave out much needed nutrients your body needs to function properly. These cleanses are usually low in protein and the fiber and antioxidants found in the skins of fruit and veg are also often eliminated in the juicing process. - ❌ Like most fads, a juice cleanse is not an effective way to lose weight and keep it off. Don’t get me wrong, you more than likely will lose weight because you are drastically lowering your caloric intake but you’ll also more than likely put it right back on after the fast because eating so little is not sustainable and more importantly dangerous for your health. - So what’s the bottom line? 🤷🏼‍♀️. - Instead of turning to a juice cleanse to help you loose weight, eating sensibly and exercising regularly is a far better option, although it may not seem as extreme and glamorous as the juice cleanse.
