Today, I went to the Cathedral and lit a candle. My friend took this photo without me knowing and it captures a beautiful moment perfectly.
After so many weeks where symptoms and fatigue have felt crushing and at that suffocating level, meaning I’ve been 95% housebound, today, things shifted a little.
Obviously by this I don’t mean I felt fine. But I felt better than I have done in recent weeks and it felt like heaven in comparison. After having a quiet visit from my friend and a cup of tea together on my sofa, I asked if they would be up to a spontaneous trip down the road to the Cathedral to light a candle.
The little short walk in the sunshine, being out of the house and being in one of my favourite places was lovely.
I’ve always felt an affinity with the Cathedral that I’m lucky enough to have only a 2 minute drive from my house. It feels so serene inside. Grounding. Still.
I’m thankful for today. For moments that feel easier. For hope. For little shifts, whether temporary, or (let’s hope) the sign of better weeks ahead #peace #awaken #moments #cfs #healing #cathedral #surrender #meditation #life #cfsme #wellbeing #candle #hbloggers
