One of the greatest privileges of life is raising her to be a Jesus loving, kingdom building, soul winning, people loving kind of human. I certainly don’t always have the answers but I surround myself with a village of people who aim to do the same. You can’t train your child (or anyone really) what you yourself aren’t willing to model. So in order to set her up for success I have to look to Jesus and submit my heart and life daily so that I can be in right standing with Him and in turn I am able to give Selah what she needs... a role model reflecting Jesus. It’s not easy, it’s not comfortable, it’s a challenge, it’s inconvenient sometimes, it requires effort BUT it’s worth it and it’s what my job and responsibility is as her mom.
There’s all kinds of negative in the world and you’ve heard it said that the future is our children, well I believe that is true but what future are we setting up for them if we don’t first take responsibility for ourselves, our actions and the power we hold to be better, do better, speak better. We hold all the power to steer them in the way they should go and if we aren’t willing to take action, to be PEACEMAKERS, be a pillar of STABILITY, speak POSITIVELY even when you don’t exactly agree, bring SOLUTIONS to the table don’t just complain, show KINDNESS, carry a spirit of HONOR towards AUTHORITY I mean if you can’t submit to authority how are they suppose to learn to submit to authority.
This does not come easy without help and we have the perfect source to look to... Jesus. #easter #stayathomemom #bebetter #momminainteasy #momlife #raisethemright #looktojesus #challengeaccepted #doyoudare #speaklife #momswithcameras #spring #liveauthentic #leadbyexample
