Today thanks to some inspiration from @theconfusedmillennial, I spent a lot of time thinking about my purpose and the purpose behind my blog/business.
See, before I had Riley and before I was a mom, my blog primarily focused on career advice because that’s something I’m super passionate about. I’m passionate about helping people find work that they love and helping people be happy in that area of life since we spend so much damn time working. Heck! I even wrote a book about it! Lately though, a lot of my content has been about motherhood because I’m a new mom and I’m experiencing a ton of new things that I want to share with you guys. Because if my story helps anyone else feel a little less alone, then I’ve done my job.
So long story short, my purpose has slightly evolved. And I think that as bloggers and influencers, that’s okay. Because we change. And we grow. And our content can grow with us. So while I’ll still be creating content about the workplace, I’ll be focusing more on designing your dream LIFE vs landing your dream JOB. I hope you guys will follow me along on this new journey of mine, but regardless, I want to thank everyone who’s supported Gen Y Girl for the past six years! Thank you for sharing your stories with me, for letting me do something that I love, and for helping me create a side hustle that now lets me stay home with my baby girl! No worries though, I’m not going anywhere - in fact, I’m just getting started. ✨💕 #bloggerlife #thegirlgang #millennialdreamteam #liveyourbestlife #lifestyleblogger #20something #millennials #beyourbrand #makemoments #millennialwomen #creativepreneur #mycreativebiz #bloggersofinstagram #beyourownboss #abmlifeiscolorful #bloggerstyle #girlboss #twentysomething #photosinbetween #millennialblogger #flatlay #theeverygirl #bloggerlove #bloggergirl #lbloggers #thatsdarling
