TEAM TALK TUESDAY
NAME: Tom Joyce
PRISON NAME: Wolfman
POSITION: Front Row
HOBBIES: Singing, drinking ale, being jolly.
Today we pay homage to a great veteran of the game and also one of our few real veterans! Before joining us Tom was an officer in the RAF and played rugby all over for such clubs as;
Old Whitgiftians, Lincoln, Thurston, Sleaford, RAF Lossiemouth, Hitchin, Northern and finally Moseley Oak. He has also played for the following military teams; RAF Honnigton, RAF Cranwell, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Henlow, RAF Brize Norton, Trojan Squadron and represented the RAF College, RAF Regiment and RAF Southern Div
Tom is one of our oldest players who started playing for the Oak Second Team a few years ago. His calm manner and wealth of experience soon earnt him a great deal of respect from the other lads on the team.
This has led him to Captaining the second team when Wolf is off being a jet setter and drinking Lowenbreau with the inlaws.
Yet its not only on the field that Tom has replaced Wolf but also in the changing rooms as Wolf officially lost his title of hairest man when Joyce when he arrived.
A friendly guy Tom is always up for a social and only ever complains about the lack of singing our team does.... perhaps he and Gareth could do a #moseleyoak #rugbyunion #rugbymen #moak #moseley #rugby #birmingham
