    This is a progression to the regular bodyweight push up. Start in a high plank position with your glutes and abs engaged. Keep the pelvis tucked and ribs pulled down to maintain an optimal pressing position. Don't forget to tilt the chin into neutral position and avoid excessive forward head tilt or hyperextension. Begin lowering the body to the floor with control, keeping your elbows around a 30-45' angle from the body with fingers spread wide and pointed forward. Your thumb and index fingers should make the shape of the letter 'L'. Once you are in the bottom position of the pushup, make sure you have a vertical forearm and a horizontal torso. Then press back up to the high plank position to complete the push up. Do not let your hips rise too high or drop too low when performing the push up. Try to maintain the ideal neutral spine. After the push up, bring one knee to the elbow on the same side of the body. Tap and return the foot to its original position. Repeat the same pattern with the other leg. Make sure not to twist your hips or round excessively in the low spine. One breast is bigger than the other, your calves are small, or you’re built like sponge bob square pants....🤣🤷🏾‍♂️ We all have our quirks. —————————— 👥Every single one of us was born with a unique skill set and a specific way of delivering our messages to the world and body image shouldn’t stop you from being your best self. _____________________ 😘While I do believe that we should love ourselves for who we are there is a fine line between being lazy and loving yourself. There’s a movement happening in the feminine world known as “The Body Positive Movement” which essentially teaches women to love themselves and that curves are okay, in which they are... however this movement puts an excessive amount of praise on morbidly obese women therefore setting a tone that obesity is to be accepted, praised, and tolerated. This movement is detrimental to women’s body image and health long term. You can love yourself without eating a tub of Ben & Jerry’s every night.... love yourself on a treadmill or the produce aisle. ——————————- ⚡️There is no 2 step cure for helping you overcome body image issues but I can tell you what has helped me. ————————- 1️⃣ I always remind myself that other people’s opinion of me is none of my damn bizness. 2️⃣ My “flaws” are works of art to someone else 3️⃣ I say positive affirmations to myself daily 4️⃣ I only hang around people who push me and celebrate life for what it is. 5️⃣ bad body image issues often stem from childhood so mentally going back in time and touching that “thing” that bothers me has helped me in so many ways!
