    This week we took 5 with one of our Physios, Ben. 1. What made you want to be a Physiotherapist? Ben: I was always interested in sport and science and Physiotherapy combines the two. I also enjoy helping people and always wanted to work in health. 2. What are your hobbies/interests outside of work? Ben: I don’t get to do it as often as I'd like but I love spearfishing. I also love hiking and camping. 3. What’s a must see/do in the 4017 area? Ben: Early morning beach PT sessions with Stomps and the crew at SF training. 4. What’s your ultimate cheat meal?     Side Plank Exercise - The side plank is an incredible exercise that is useful for developing core strength. Whether your using this as part of your core training or its been included in your exercise rehabilitation program, done correctly the side plank is a highly effective exercise to have in your toolbox. It trains multiple muscles in an isometric fashion. - The muscles the side plank targets all act as stabilisers when performing dynamic movements. Keep the entire body in neutral position and keep the core and glutes tight. This is a core-stability exercise, so you need to resist motion in my opinion and keep your body in a long, solid position. - Performing the side plank - – Lay on your side and form a bridge by supporting your body with the side of your feet and your elbow. Stack the legs and place the hand of the upper arm on the hip. - – Keep the body in a solid line from head to feet, keep the head in a neutral position, squeeze the glutes and keep the elbow under shoulder while lifting the hips from the ground. - – The side plank can also be done from the knees, stack exactly the same as the feet. - – Hold for anything from 15 seconds to 60 seconds. - Muscles Involved Include; - External Oblique, Internal Oblique, Gluteus Medius, Quadratus Lumborum, Rectus Abdominis, Erector Spinae (Spinalis, Longissimus, Iliocostalis), Multifidus #crossfit #entrepreneurship #ig_fit #sportsmassage #gymmotivation #manchester #physio #health #success #workout #aesthetics #gym #rehab #fitnessmotivation #fitness #iifym #fatloss #motivation #nutrition #fitfam #innoperform #hyde #boxing #bodybuilding #goals #fitspo #dreams #grind #anatomy #igfit

    Helloo! Ces derniers jours je n'étais pas sûre de tenir mes objectifs mais c'est réussi. J'ai même compris plus de choses en physique il me semble 🎉 et j'ai pu aider à entraîner des petites à la gym hier (bosser avec elles, les tenir et les conseiller quand elles bossent des éléments à la poutre que je ne peux plus faire ça me donne la joie elles sont trop fortes haha 😍). Aujourd'hui je revois tête et cou général que je n'avais pas fini, les nerfs du pelvis, les techniques articulaires en kiné, et le tronc et la colonne vertébrale en anatomie générale.
