    Going back to one of my last posts regarding momentum: this is yet another example demonstrating why momentum used in a sensible manner can pay big dividends. - I always used to be a form nazi when it comes to pull-ups or chin-ups. If you scroll through my feed you’ll find videos of me performing very strict chins. These have served me well... for a few training sessions. - After a few sessions, I always ran into massive elbow issues. For the past 6 weeks I’ve also loosened up my form on pull-ups and whoopdefuckindoo guess what happens? - I can pull explosively without losing tension in my lats, I have zero elbow pain and my biceps are not the main movers (notice how I never fully extend my elbow, except for the last rep). - If your body wants to move in a certain way, allow it to. Forcing your body, your structure and your joints into a pattern they were not made to move in, will most certainly cause issues. - I was able to maintain rep speed over 5 sets for 10 reps here.     Is there any better feeling than DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)? 😃 This is that painful but satisfying feeling in your muscles after an unfamiliar or intense workout session. 🙌 The exact mechanism of DOMS is not totally understood but it appears to be a product of inflammation caused my microscopic tears in the connective tissue elements that sensitize the bodies nociceptors ( pain receptors) and thereby heighten the sensations of pain. Basically, it’s connective tissue microtrauma.     Kinda wanna run fast, kinda don’t want to risk flying off the back of the treadmill🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️ Interval sprints on the treadmill have become one of my favs over the years & I find the below is one of the most effective quick workouts for me. If you’re wanting to try it but the fear of jumping on & off the sides is too much... try this: 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️ Start with the treadmill at a walking speed. Holding onto the sides, get comfortable with hoping on & off whilst the treadmill is working. Slowly increase the speed, move your legs with the speed still holding on & slowly let go when you feel comfortable. Only progress to a sprint speed when you’re ready pleeease. THE REAL DEAL 💦 - you choose your speed: • 5 minute incline walk (start at incline 8, add 1.0 incline every minute. Speed - fast walk, keep the same) • standing onto the sides, holding on, increase the speed to your sprint speed. 20 seconds on, 30 off x 8 • increase the speed by 1.0 20 seconds on 20 off x 6 • increase the speed by 1.0 20 second on 10 off x 4 • incline walk starting at max incline, fast walk, every minute take down both by 1.0 x 5 minutes 🔥 save this workout & try it when you next want a reeeeaaaal sweaty seshhh 🏆 challenge accepted? any questions? #abs #diet #gymwear #gains #workoutvideo #bodybuilding #aesthetics #nutrition #physique #fitness #fitfam #gym #legday #leggings #tutorial #girlswholift #fitspo #prep #workout #motivation #healthy #gainz

    Comparing first and last set of today’s bench, both 195 lbs. These were a 5x5 ramping, peaking at 210 lbs. Also matched volume on dead rows, 195 shown. Really enjoying this type of rowing, I can feel a bigger activation up and down my whole back.     Today I went to work on my little side gig as an Uber driver ! I work doing anything I can find in order to get my behind to usas this year ! I don’t count the hours I work anymore because I don’t care about that ! When I wake up I start my day with a little prayer and all I do is thank god the almighty for the blessing of a new day ! Today I made zero money and that’s ok ! Because I realize what the message was ! When I woke up today I felt in my heart I should go the extra mile and train even though I’ve trained this whole week ! Well when I tell you god speaks loudly to me I am not kidding ! I turned my app off and with this smile of excitement I went to the gym ! Here I am and I’m so excited to be here ! God I love this place and training !
