    Have you tried the new @woodwaytreadmills at RWM Sunshine West? The is best used as a treadmill for high intensity interval training or sessions. Try running 15 seconds fast whilst holding onto the sides until confident, then either walk very slow or just stand on the sides for 1-2 minutes recovery. Repeat for 5-6 reps. This type of high intensity training uses fat as a preferred source of energy, quick to burn and breakdown. We’re the only gym in Sunshine and Sunshine West who have a Woodway so give it a go next time you’re in if you’re trying to lose weight! #woodway #hiit

    The ability of an athlete to execute sound sprint mechanics is largely dependent upon the maintenance of proper posture throughout all phases of the sprinting. During maximum velocity sprinting, we're looking for an upright posture with the head, neck, and shoulders stacked over the hips. This is a great low level, stationary drill, that doesn't require much space or equipment. A barbell is not needed, but the overhead position does help provide feedback for the coach and athlete. The objective is to maintain a vertical spine (staying tall) while performing a leg cycle.
