Try this... Cultivate the opposite!
Whenever negative thoughts come into your mind...bring up the opposite.
Yoga instructs us to practice the Yamas - moral codes of conduct - so when we think hurtful, adverse, fear-based thoughts...REVERSE them...bring in healing, honest, giving, appropriate and generous thoughts.
When darkness arises in us...bring light.
When we do this in thought, speech and deed...we begin to loosen the grip of habitual fear-based living and move towards being compassionate as our default.
Practice cultivating the opposite of fear...love! #mindfulness#yogapractice#yogarebel#moksha#yogaphilosophy#divine#yoga#yogireb#livewelllovelife#yogateacher#thepowerofnow#enlightenment
Currently, I’m reading The Power of Now... 🕊
It’s revealing so many ways my mind keeps me from joy + peace + presence. I have been a chronic future tripper my whole life. Imagining my future was a mechanism I used to escape + cope with pain. But the pain didn’t leave, it just piled up + I have spent the past couple years having to heal wounds that were left un-addressed from years back. Although this work was necessary, I wasn’t present. I was continuously diving back + reliving memories that were keeping me from the present... And now I’m in a place where I alternate between the two 🙈😂 When I get ungrounded or something is painful I jump right back into future or past tripping... but I’m finding deep peace in the words of this book. Knowledge is power. Once you know, you can’t un-know. The revelations are hard + taking responsibility for our suffering is never easy, but it is necessary. I already sense this book will be one that I circle back to again + again in my life. I am thankful that it crossed my path in life’s divine timing. xx 🕊
