Sometimes you have a crappy week. The kids are ill, you’re ill, it’s all too much. ——-
You post a poem on out of frustration and fatigue. You never know who might see it, nor if it would matter a jot to them.
And then, just as you’re taking your own temperature and feeling extra specially crap, this pops up in your email, and you’re crying happy tears!
—— “Our weird phase of my daughter screaming at bedtime until I come back to the room continues, but I wanted to say that your response to my comment has really helped.
Last night was awful, but your “power of Mum” mantra sang out in my heart. By 3:30am I’d done everything in my tool box and was about to give in but the mantra “power of Mum” sung out at me from somewhere in the pits of my stomach and through the aching arms of carrying and rocking a 12kg child I felt a surge of energy, a belief in myself, so I kept going, my arms stopped hurting and my little girl FINALLY went back to sleep. .
So I just wanted you to know that you are making a difference out there, to me at least (and to countless others I’m sure)
Keep up the good .
