Tent frame... this is somewhere way out in the nowhere on a little island after crossing kam lake, some portages, an arm of the great slave lake and other portages. It's about 30k run, and took us 3.5h. This day I ran three different teams, stood 8h on the runners and we made about 100k. Mushers dream 😍 and all this at about -38 till -42. the first team I ran in daylight, the second was a great sunset run (look through all pics) and the third run to the tentframe was already dark, cause sunset is usually at about 2pm in january this far north.
But it is never really dark. There is the snow which reflects a lot of light, this night we were blessed with a great fullmoon and clear skies. Actually I only had 2 badweather days in Yellowknife in 7 months 🎉🙌 and last but not least the magical northernlights! They showed up almost everyday 😍
There are barrely any words than can describe the feelings. Dogsledding, awesome nature, sunset, fullmoon, northern lights and no noise, no stress... just you and the dogs! 😍❤️️🐾🐕 not much can beat that.
