A couple of days before this, I was sitting in my upstairs Airbnb working on my laptop. I heard dogs barking, literally every dog in the neighborhood was screaming (Mexico has many dogs, almost as many dogs as there are people). I found this alarming but I didn't think anything of it. Then the WiFi went out....that's when I really knew something was wrong. 5secs after the realization settled in, my Airbnb Abuela runs upstairs yelling " Inés, Ven abajo! El templor!". I didn't know what "El templor" was but I ran downstairs and saw everyone holding on to a rope outside. I held on to the rope and that's when I saw and felt El templor. The earth beneath my feet began to sway back and forth, the house was literally swinging from side to side, my Airbnb Abuela was holding on to me and praying to San Juan de Guadalupe , the dogs were still screaming....and I was standing there watching the very earth beneath my feet shake. To make things better, there was a random black cat chilling on the shed behind the house😑, just chilling and watching us tremble. I felt like I was in a movie. Longest 5mins of my life. I felt small and disposable.... but then I felt alive. Like someone had shook my entire body back into existence, like I had been dreaming my entire life and now, I am awake and actually scared for my life. A 7.2 magnitude earthquake....
As I sat here in front of this huge Mesoamerican Pyramid of the Sun, I felt limitless. The fear was gone and I just felt alive and #photos #photodaily #snapshot #canon_photos #composition #photooftheday #photo #beautiful #gameoftones #pictures #focus #instagood #photogram #moment #mexico #picoftheday #exposure #color #capture #advancestyle #pic #picture #photographer #pics #all_shots #photoshoot #art #afro
